This sauce is amazing. Its good with turkey and its good on grilled panini sandwiches. Easy to make, keeps well in the frig for weeks.

You can substitute a good red wine or cranberry juice for the water.

12 ounce package of fresh or frozen cranberries

Water to cover

1 large oranges, juiced, use the peel and pulp and all

1 cup sugar or more to taste (you can substitute maple syrup, cane sugar or even rapidura)

4 small cinnamon sticks or 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon

1/2 teaspoon ground cloves or 4 whole cloves

Combine all ingredients in a medium saucepan and bring to a boil over medium-high heat, then reduce heat to medium low and let simmer for  until most of the cranberries have popped and the liquid is reduced and thick.  Take out the peel, it’s delicious!  Or you can chop it up and return it to the relish.  Serve hot or chilled.
