Even though we know that this world is broken
Even though we understand that people are not good at heart, we are all evil in our hearts and broken
Even though we know that evil and bad things are always going to happen…..
Why does it continue to take us by surprise? Why are we amazed that a human being can be so evil, so warped?
It is because we are created in the image of God. And evil repels us, it angers us and it makes us fear.
All of mankind is created in His image. Every human ever conceived and ever born is created in His image… But we are tainted with sin and evil. In our minds, we want to embrace what is good and perfect…. but we are daily faced with evil, in ourselves and in others.
So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them. Genesis 1:27
And because of this ALL human life is precious, sacred.
Until we all come to this understanding, we will travel on blindly through life, implementing new laws and new ordinances and new rules in an attempt to cure our human-ness.
It cannot be cured by human hands. It cannot be cured with laws and ordinances. It can only be cured with the grace of God through His Son Jesus.
When people come to the end of themselves, they often turn to Christ, but as long as they think they can cure evil with their works, they will try. And so the world will keep on trying, because every human is created in His image and craves what is good and perfect.

I agree Sylvia, the heartache is painful most certainly, but Oh for the Savior.
We won’t understand any of this until we get to heaven.
I don’t know, Kay, I think I do understand. It happens because we are evil and in need of a Savior. Its going to always happen this side of the vale of tears.
