There’s just so many things to be thankful for, don’t you think? Its hard to list them all and its hard to just focus on one or two things, God has been so good to me. He’s drawn me to Himself, saved me, taught me and given me people in my life who encourage and strengthen my walk with Him.
He’s allowed me to grow closer to Him through chronic illness. He has been right there any time I call. And I need frequent do-overs. He has provided numerous do-overs, forgiveness and grace.
God has given me what I need to live. Yes, He’s provided some fun things too, pretty things, lovely things, helpful things. I’m really thankful that He has helped me to see the difference between things I like and want and things I need to live. I feel so much more thankful for these things than I did 20 years ago.
This week in particular, the Lord has revealed some things around me that had potential for real trouble and He protected me. He gave me discernment and wisdom right when I needed it. I’m so thankful! Because our natural wisdom isn’t enough sometimes, we need His wisdom.
What are you thankful for today?
I’m so thankful for so much! Not least God’s grace, which is in abundance in my life 🙂 Working through Revelation 4 and 5 in bible study last night, we saw that in heaven there is only one thing the saints are thanking God for and that is ..salvation.
