I’m one who loves some glitter. I have it all over myself right now. It’s coming off the Christmas cards I’m addressing. I don’t really mind that!
I’ve been enjoying the Advent devotionals that my Church has put online. If you don’t use an Advent devo I highly recommend it.
Oh, and it’s snowing outside. Not much. Just enough to get all these Southerners anxious.
And our youngest daughter came over yesterday to help decorate the tree. I love that. She doesn’t know it but it is one of my favorite things.
The snow is coming down a little harder now. I think I’ll go find a cup of hot cocoa.
Then I’ll finish getting my house decorated and cleaned up. Decorating seems to make a huge mess here!
Christmas this year is already a lot different than it has been in the past.
How are you coping with that?
The best thing about this Christmas is that it’s the end of 2020. Things are already improving. New granddaughter has arrived and is beautiful! Vaccine is rolling out. Missing church but my doctor is very set with me staying away from crowds or more than 6. Church services have been on zoom as have my doctor appointments. Cards are going out a few at a time, Gifts are already delivered and our’s are under the tree. Just one last one to deliver to my oldest and his wife which we will do on Thursday. I have already started on next years Christmas gifts. 3 are done and wrapped. I have cleared my sewing area as I know I am getting a new sewing machine for Christmas. Taking a break from my projects for next Christmas but really excited to have 3 already done. I should have next Christmas wrapped up by Spring I hope. Wanting to start on wedding quilts for each of my grandchildren. Don’t know if I will be around that long but I can make sure they each have a gift for their special day. I made cookies early and divided them into third’s to give both of my daughters some. Both are students with little ones and one is in training to be a physician assistant and working long hours with this Covid mess. The other has gone to online classes and just had her baby on Nov. 26. I confess, I’m not crazy about glitter but sure am missing little guys this year. All my little Christmas knick knacks are down where we can enjoy them. Should be a lovely peaceful Christmas here on our farm.
