One of the most important things you can do if you’re self quarantining or isolating yourself is to get out and get some sun and some exercise. Of course you can exercise in your home. But getting outside for exercise will brighten your attitude and the sunshine will help your body make vitamin D which helps make strong bones and teeth and protects your body against disease. Even in rainy weather, if you’re healthy, it’s a good idea to take a walk.
While you’re outside, you can look for and gather wild herbs if you’re so inclined or simply take pictures of what you see. It’s a great way to yourself interested in gardening as well.
A simple stroll around a parking lot, yard or neighborhood can make a huge difference in how you feel and how you act. Keep your distance from others, wash your hands when you get home, don’t touch your face and enjoy the outdoors!
